Entercom Regional Vice President, Weezie Kramer, retained Scott Savage to temporarily serve as Market Manager for the company’s eight-station cluster in Kansas City during June & July 2007. According to Kramer, “Scott did an outstanding job in Kansas City while I conducted my search for a new market manager. Thanks to his extensive radio management experience, he was able to ‘keep the ball moving forward’ in all departments, maintain employee morale and successfully coordinate a smooth transition with the two co-market managers I hired. My confidence in his abilities allowed me the time I needed to conduct a thorough search for this critical position. Savage Media Group’s ‘Transitional Management’ service has proven once again to be a terrific resource for Entercom and I’d certainly use the company again if the opportunity presented itself.”
This was Savage’s second “Transitional Management" assignment for Entercom this year. This past February he served as temporary Market Manager for the company’s six-station cluster in Memphis. Entercom Regional Vice President Steve Godofsky, who oversees the market, commented at the time, “This experience was excellent in every way. Our new Market Manager feels he is miles ahead of where he would have been had Scott not been there for three weeks.”

Radio One retained Savage Media Group associate Nick Marnell to serve as temporary General Manager of the company’s stations in Philadelphia in June & July 2007. Radio One Vice President of Operations, Zemira Jones, commented, “Savage Media Group’s ‘Transitional Management’ service is an intriguing concept that proved to be extremely effective for Radio One in Philadelphia. Nick Marnell perfectly filled the bill as someone I could trust to achieve the short-term objectives of the cluster while I searched for a permanent GM. His exceptional leadership abilities kept the operation moving forward and provided employees with the stability required during a time of management transition. This outstanding service developed by Savage Media Group has tremendous value in our industry.”
